These beautiful fillets of salmon are from Tasmania, Australia. They are somewhat different to the sockeye salmon in that they are thicker and arguably softer in texture. These are fillet cut with skin on and are deboned which makes it perfect for kids or anyone who is too lazy to eat anything with bones or shells (as opposed to steak cut which is usually not deboned)!
These are sustainable salmon and has NO added hormones or antibiotics.
Low in mercury and high in omega 3 fatty acids, widely known to be good for your heart, amongst many other health benefits! Australian salmon is also an excellent source of high-quality protein and contains vitamins A, B12 and D, as well as niacin and thiamine, for overall good health.
Try both the Australian Salmon Fillet and Sockeye Salmon Fillet to see which one you prefer. We reckon the Australian Salmon Fillets are better for steaming and grilling whilst the Sockeye is perhaps better for baking. Both can also be easily cooked by simple pan searing!
Please note that although these fillets are supposed to be boneless and is what our supplier purports them to be, sometimes (albeit rarely) there may still be small bones that were missed so we advise all customers to nevertheless take care in checking for bones during preparation, cooking or consumption.
